Anna Wintour was fired from her first job as a junior fashion editor at Harper's Bazaar. She made waves for her innovative shoots, but editor Tony Mazalla thought they were a little too edgy and she got canned after a mere nine months.  Walt Disney had a similar story, being fired from the Kansas City star for “lack of imagination and no good ideas.”
